Increasing Construction of Datacenters around the Globe to Foster the Growth of the Green UPS Market
UPS
stands for Uninterrupted Power Supply and it is the most efficient way to
provide uninterrupted power in various electronic appliances. It is a
continuous electric supply that supplies power to any device or appliance that
requires power, even in the absence of an electric power distributor or power
line. An uninterruptible electric power supply is an electronic electrical
device that supplies uninterrupted power to a backup load when the main
electric power source or main mains power fails. A growing number of data
centers around the globe coupled with the rising adoption of IoT is
predominantly fueling the growth of the green
UPS market. Moreover, the rising trend of cloud computing and
virtualization has also boosted the growth of the green UPS market. The
increasing launch of new data centers and the growing need for a secure &
clean power supply for smooth operation is again driving the growth of the
market. For instance, in August 2020, Legrand India announced the launch of
Legrand Data Center Solutions (LDCS) which brings together a portfolio of
global brands including Legrand, Numeric, Raritan & Server Technology under
one specialist team. Legrand Data Center Solutions are modular, scalable, and
customizable and are thus, designed for agility.
Europe
is projected to gain significant growth over the forecast period and this is
attributed to the continuous construction of data that run completely on
renewable sources of energy in the region. For instance, in October 2020,
European cloud hosting company UpCloud has opened a new data center in Madrid,
Spain, in a bid to continue their international expansion. UpCloud’s new data
center is located in Madrid, and it is the company’s first data center in
Southern Europe. The new Interxion MAD3 facility uses 100% renewable energy, as
certified by the Spanish National Market and Competition Commission (CNMC).
