There are many types of Internet filtering software on the market. Most are designed for casual Internet users who only use filtering systems for a few specific purposes on the Internet. In some cases, these software products are designed for professional use by Internet marketers and other Internet users. The sophistication of these types of products will vary by price. Moreover, some of these products may be sold as freeware or shareware. Some basic types of content filters are based on keywords, while others may use more sophisticated filters based on other criteria. For instance, some Internet filters block content based on certain computer languages, such as Chinese, and may allow English language content. Users may also have the ability to select what types of content should be viewed or specified when a user logs into a website.
