Rapid Growth in the Construction Industry Is Augmenting the Growth of the Ceramic Decal Market
A
ceramic decal is also a transfer method, which is utilized to paste pre-printed
patterns or pictures onto a ceramic material, such as tiles, ceramic tableware,
and decorative ceramics, and glassware. Ceramic decals are used to decorate
glassware in the form of glass art, stained glass, or to decorate ceramic
statues and other ceramic objects. The decals can be made of vinyl, latex
rubber, paper, fabric, or ceramic material. There are various benefits of using
these decals. One of the advantages of these is they are not very expensive,
yet they can look very beautiful and attractive.
The
ceramic decals protect the porcelain materials from damage due to ultraviolet
light, spillage, stains, heat, oil, grease, and scratches. Water-slide ceramic
decals are made of a resilient material such as clear vinyl and can withstand
high temperatures
Rapid
growth in the ceramic industry is projected to fuel the growth
of ceramic decals market. Ceramic decals provide a cost-effective
solution when compared to other decorating methods such as slip decorating
techniques due to less set up time, less clean up, and less labor-intensive.
According to the India Brand Equity Foundation, India's ceramic industry is
looking to almost double its turnover to Rs 50,000 crore by 2020, driven by
rising domestic consumption and exports to the Middle-East, Europe, and other
newer destinations. Robust growth in the construction industry across
developing countries and increasing spending by the government in the
construction industry is further anticipated to propel the growth of the
ceramic decals market.
The
Asia Pacific is projected to gain significant growth over the forecast period
and this is attributed to the increasing government investment in the construction
industry. According to the India Brand Equity Foundation, in 2019, the
infrastructure sector witnessed seven mergers and acquisition (M&A) deals
worth US$ 1,461 million. Indian Railways has received an allocation of Rs.
72,216 crore (US$ 10.33 billion) under Union Budget 2020-21.
